Gerzson stayed every summer at his house in Szigliget. There, he had a studio where he could work. The location of his house allowed him to observe the exceptional landscape that surrounded him. Volcanic mountains, a lake with changing colors, the ballet of knots in the sky, and the explosion of sunrise appear in a series of small paintings he called Szigligeti napló (Szigliget's Diary). These are little gems, much more than simple sketches… The attentive observer can make the connection with some of Gerzson's well-known paintings!
